CRITICAL TOM PREPS NEW MIXTAPE & SHOOTS "GEEK BOY" VIDEO!!!!!!
We reported earlier this year about aspiring Rapper/Songwriter 'Critical Tom' joining Wallstreet Ent. since then he has been very hard at work crafting his first release, his mixtape is entitled "Can Anyone Hear Me" and is set for a January 9th release. He has had an extensive recording period for just a mixtape but says "When we first started working on the project everything seemed set but week after week i just outgrew my own material so me and Preme (Supreme C.E.O) decided to just let the songs flow without a deadline til we got to this point where we're happy that my first impression is the most potent it can be at this time."
About the title Tom says "Its like my anxiety and how long i've been trying to do my music properly and get it out there and not being heard. Me and Preme came up with the title, that describes that and hopefully after its released i wont feel the same". Production on "C.A.H.M" will be handled by Wallstreet's own Twisted Revren amongst others and features wise Critical stayed close to home only recruiting immediate familia "I've got RapStarHarts on there, Jallen (C.F.N), Jibsta, Supreme, Revren & Kid Cane." Tom says confidently. Supreme also wanted to add comment boldy saying "For the category Critical Tom is in, this mixtape is a classic he put in real work lyrically, sonically and subjectively. This mixtape will shock people for the simple fact you've never heard of this artist before but he's at a very high level of artistry. Thats all i'm saying, so i hope people embraced it the way it deserves to be".
On top of this milestone event for Tom's entrance into the underground he also just shot the video for his first viral (and first ever video period) supporting the tape for the track "Geekboy". shot at an undisclosed location the video is set to have a school like theme to go. On the track you can hear why lyrically Supreme was so bold in saying Tom is high class! Spitting hi-power flows with an undeniable hunger its a great introduction to Critical Tom. As reported a few weeks back the videoshoot for Birmingham bred Rapper/Mc “Amnesia” (@I_amnesia) took place and featured an up and coming (Sans Malik MD7) but impressive line up. The track “I’m Just” was produced by Midlands legendary beatsmith Urban Monk who has worked with everyone from Akala to Wiley and features Wallstreets own Supreme as the only non Midlands based rapper alongside Malik MD7, Meeks, M.D.R, Opiffwana & BC The Bossman. AMNESIA SHOOTS "I'M JUST" REMIX VIDEO FT. SUPREME, MALIKMD7 & MORE
Birmingham bred Rapper/MC Amnesia has shot the video for his "I'm Just" remix which features cameos from Supreme, MalikMD7, Meeks, MDR, Opiffawana & BC the Bossman. The original version of the track features just Amnesia & Malik and is taken from his highly anticipated "Hungarian" Mixtape which is out for free download Dec 13th via www.ukrapmusic.com, Datpiff.com and all usual outlets, however the remix is featured on his upcoming E.P entitled "Budapest" which is scheduled for a mid-January 2012 release. The flick was shot and directed by Word On Road at a studio location and later at birmingham airport. Onset Amnesia offers "Yea the song just gelled together heavy with the mandem i chose to feature on it." he says about the well lyrically equipped cast. He then goes on to say "Just wanna big up all the artists involved for turning up today! Supreme and Wallstreet Ent., Malik, my brother MDR, Opiffawana and The Royalists, Meeks & S-Squad & BC The Bossman. Also wanna big up Urban Monk for producing the song & Word On Road for shooting a hard video to go with it."
